MORTON - The funeral of Helcien Fern Stout, 90, of 150 Yordy Road, Morton, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morton United Methodist Church, Morton. The Rev. Jeffrey Kelley will officiate. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home, Morton, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. before the services Friday at the church. She died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 16, 2001) at her residence. Memorials may be made to Morton United Methodist Church Building Fund, 401 Carol Ave., Morton, IL 61550. Mrs. Stout was born June 1, 1911, in Oakford, a daughter of John and Pearl Andersen Oller. She married William W. Stout Sr. Oct. 23, 1927, in Havana. He died July 1, 1989. Surviving are three sons, William (Barbara) Stout Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.; Jack (Velma) Stout, Morton; and Terry (Laura) Stout, Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Marilyn (Bill) Engel, Peoria; Peggy (Fred) Watts, Dahinda; and Krista (Bill) Hunt, LaSalle; one sister, Verancia (Charles) Denton, San Jose; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Her parents; two daughters, Donna Melvin and Bonita Stout; five brothers; and two sisters preceded her in death.
