She was married to Robert Leonard Stringer. She is the daughter of Thomas Judson Moore and Mary Addie Pinegar.
Sadie moved to Oakland after the death of her husband in 1919. Throughout all census records to 1930 she continued to be recorded as Sadie Stringer, widow. It is unknown exactly when she might have married a Mr. Joplin. A check of the Alameda County Vital Records Office reveals no marriage or death record was ever recorded under the name Joplin and a search for a marriage to Joplin using Sarah Stringer as the bride's name came back with a certificate of no record for the time period of search between 01/01/1927 and 12/31/1931. The clerk also added that a search was made for her name as Sadie Moore and for a marriage for the surname of Joplin but nothing was found. Research is ongoing to prove the name recorded on the marker as Joplin.
A marriage record was found in the Reno Evening Gazette stating she married Walter Joplin on 10 June 1931. She died 1 month and 4 days after her marriage to Mr. Joplin.
She is on the same tombstone as her sister Bessie Moore Alevizos. The cemetery office indicated that Bessie Alevizos paid for Sadie's burial.
