Cecil C. Earp, age 59, of 780 DeWitt Barnett Road, Banner Elk, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at Watauga Medical Center. Mr. Earp is survived by three daughters, Sue Brown of Valle Crucis, and Patricia and April Earp, both of the home; two sons, Daniel and Chris Earp, both of the home; one grandson, Richard Brown; his mother, Audie Lee Earp of Valle Crucis; one brother, Ernie Lee Earp and wife Marie of Vilas, and one sister, Cathy Ann Isaacs of Valle Crucis. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Earp; his father, Earnest Lee Earp; two brothers, Larry Wayne Earp and Bobby Eugene Earp; his grandparents, Lee and Ethel Earp, and Orris and Ona Hayes; one grandson, Payden Brown, and an infant sister. Funeral services for Cecil C. Earp will be conducted Saturday morning, July 23, 2011, at 11:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 10:00 until 11:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend Burl Greer. Burial will follow in Jont-Brown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning, from 10:00 until 11:00 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Earp family. Hampton Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
