Born April 23, 1927 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Campsen and Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Campsen.
Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Spartanburg High School Class of 1944, Cecil's Business College, and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She had a love of gardening and arranging flowers and was known for her correspondence through her passion for composing letters to friends and family on a daily basis.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Leslie M. Williams; daughters, Marilyn Armstrong (Gordon) of Gaffney and Elaine Moore (Robert) of Spartanburg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 1:00-1:45 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Funeral service followed at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
