Frank A. Campsen, 93, husband of the late Lillie Mae Downey Campsen, died Thursday, February 3, 2011. Frank was the son of the late John Henry and Mary Williams Campsen.

He retired from Metromont Materials after 48 years of service. Frank was a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Campsen is survived by three sons, Gene Campsen and his wife Frances, Doug Campsen and his wife Virginia, Larry Campsen and his wife Donna, all of Spartanburg; a daughter, Margaret Head and her husband Gene of Covington GA; a sister, Thelma L. Williams and her husband Leslie of Spartanburg; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Campsen of Spartanburg. Frank was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Mr. Campsen was predeceased by a son, Robert Wayne Campsen; and a brother, Herman Campsen.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Saturday February 5, 2011, followed by a Funeral service at 3:00 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
