Samuel & his wife travelled a lot when they were young. He worked as carpenter in numerous places, among these places are Biloxi, mississippi and Pascagoula, where he worked in the shipyards during WW II; he was also a pipe fitter. They lived in Austin, Blanco, then made their home in Houston for many years. At the age of 65, samuel retired, and he and his wife travelled and fished, and enjoyed their last years as both retained good health. This information was provided by their son, Allen Eppes.
