ARTHUR ERLE HARNISH
Of Alexandria Star Route, died at his home at 12:45 a.m. today, after being in failing health for the past six months. He was born Aug. 7, 1891, at Alexandria, a son of Josiah and Ida (Hileman) Harnish, and married Ethel Black on Nov. 14, 1918, in the Abbey Reformed Church parsonage, Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife and three children, Robert E. and Donald l., of Alexandria Star Route and Mrs. Louise Poet of Hellam, eight grandchildren, and two brothers and a sister, Lynn, Clair and Mrs. Lillian Moore, all of Alexandria. A brother Alton preceded him in death. Mr. Harnish was an ordained elder of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church and served on the board of trustees at the time of his death. He was also a member of the Alexandria Fire Co. and the Hartslog Valley Grange, and retired as a farmer in 1960. Friends will be received at the Grove Funeral Home, Alexandria, after 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.
