Dennis W. Gates, 62, 134 Vandemark Road, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at 11 a.m. at his residence.
He was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Sidney, the son of the late Warren Gates and Catherine (Eiler) Gates of Sidney, who survives him.
He is also survived by two children, Michael and Jill Gates of Sidney and Randall and Dawn Van Hoose of Sidney; four grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda Hall of Blytheville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
Mr. Gates was employed by Regal Plumbing and was a member of the Sidney Elks Lodge.
Private graveside services will be conducted Tuesday.
Visitations will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wilson Hospice in Mr. Gates' memory.
