Franklin C. Miller, husband of the late Sarah Snyder Miller died on Tuesday morning, September 2, 1952 at the home of Daniel Hartman, Loganville. Mr. Miller began to paint the Hartman house on Tuesday morning and around 11 o'clock his body was found on the ground at the bottom of the ladder. Dr. John Getz Jr. Jacobus pronounced him dead shortly after his arrival. No one saw the accident occur, so it is not known whether he fell from the top of the ladder or if he became ill and came to ground of his own accord.
Since the death of his wife in April 1940, Mr. Miller made his home with his son Allen S. Miller, Glen Rock RFD 2. Mr. Miller's age was 83-9-2. He was a faithful member of Friedensaal's Church and Sunday School, and served many terms as a church officer and cemetery trustee. At the time of his death, he was the oldest male member of the church.
Surviving besides his son is a sister, Mrs. Almanda Bailey, Red Lion.
Funeral services were held at St. Peter's (Yellow) Church, with your pastor officiating, on Friday afternoon, Sept. 5.
Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
