He was born August 30, 1927 in Bountiful, Utah the son of Arthur Harry and Norma Edith Worsley Pettit. He was a resident of Centerville. His employment took him many places throughout the western states. He recently was employed by Beneficial Life in their Security Department, and previously as a maintenance representative for FAA.
He served in the military, US Army as a medic in Germany from 1950-1952. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by two sisters and three brothers; Leah Tingey, Centerville; Jack (Charlotte) Pettit, Jackson, MS; Bob (LuAnn) Pettit, Ogden; Richard (Arlene) Pettit, Farmington ;Carol (Vernal) Wood, Bountiful; nieces and nephews and his special German Shepard dog, Reno. Preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Sat. April 5, 2003 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call from 9:45- 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
