Albert E. Cloud, for many years, a well known lumber dealer in this city, and a member of the firm, McKee and Cloud, died Friday morning at his home in Masontown, Pa., of consumption, contracted in New York, where he has been engaged for a number of years in the brokerage business. He and his former partner sold out their business in this city several years ago and located at 60 Broadway, New York, under the former firm name of McKee and Cloud. They have been very successful in their enterprise, doing considerable business for Pittsburgh businessmen. Both have a large number of friends here. Mr.Cloud was, for several years, employed as secretary for the National Tube Works, McKeesport, and leaves a large number of friends in that city. He contracted the dread disease in the winter of 1895, through a neglected cold. He returned home two weeks ago. His many friends in this city will be sorry to learn of his death, as he was a genial, kind-hearted companion, a loyal citizen, and a member of several beneficial and social organizations in this city and New York.
(Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette)

Mr.Cloud was a son of Thomas Cloud of Cumberland Township, and was well known throughout the lower end of the county. The funeral took place in the residence of his brother, Dr. Milton Cloud of Masontown. After services at the house, the remains were taken to the Glades church, near Carmichaels, and the funeral preached by Rev. J. T. Neal of Merritstown. Mr. Cloud was a member of the Baptist Church. The services at the grave were conducted by the Masonic order, of which he was a member.
