Ercile was born November 6, 1929 in Earlsboro, OK to Emmert and Ruby Virginia (Walker) Turnbull. She passed away October 19, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 82.
Ercile retired from the First Bank of Owasso after 30 years of dedicated service as the secretary to the President. She was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star of OK, and the Cherokee Nation. Ercile enjoyed working in the garden, and cooking; especially for family get-togethers and holidays. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers; sister and husband; sister-in-law; special nephew and wife; special niece and husband; many other nieces, nephews, and numerous relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey L. Thomas; and brother, J.W. Turnbull.
Funeral services for E. Ercile "Memaw" (Turnbull) Thomas, of Owasso, were held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK.
