Mildred Hinton, 89, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Mr. Larry Denney, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Mildred was born January 28, 1923 in Easley, South Carolina to Alphie and Lena Sheriff. After retiring from Carolina Plating in Greenville, South Carolina, she moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in 1996 to be near her family. She attended Brandon Mills Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, and Beverly Drive United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working crossword puzzles, and she loved her dogs, Buddy and Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Catherine Sheriff; her daughter, Joyce Wilson; and her son, Douglas Hinton.
She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Arnold of Seneca, South Carolina; son-in-law, Malcolm Wilson; her grandchildren, Pamela Denney and husband Larry, Kenneth Wilson and wife Dawn, Kathryn Jackson and husband Morris all of Wichita Falls, Michael Hinton, and Kathy Chesser both of Greenville, South Carolina; her great-grandchildren, Timothy Denney and wife Chelsea, Amy Denney, Brittany, Bryan, and Ethan Wilson, Abby Barrera, Austin Ray, and Heather Hinton; and her great-great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Ellie Denney, and Owen Ambrose.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
