Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Burns, who died at her home Tuesday morning were held yesterday, Thursday, afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Kimball Funeral Home with Rev. Milo L. Arnold officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mrs. Burns, the widow of Daniel Grant Burns, had been a resident of Pullman since 1877, coming here with her parents from Tennessee where she was born. She was born in Fordtown, Tennessee, on September 19, 1872.

The family farmed near Pullman on the Kitzmiller road when they came to the Palouse country.

She was married in 1888 (note: Western States Marriage Index shows marriage in 1889) and is survived by one son, Ben, and a grandson, of Pullman.

Other survivors are a brother, Ed Kitzmiller of Pullman, and two sisters, Mrs. L. C. Casebeer, Pullman, and Mrs. Will Taylor, Salt Lake City.

D. G. Burns preceded his widow in death in January 1935.

One of Pullman's oldest residents, Mrs. Burns' passing is a moment of grief to her many friends and acquaintances gathered over a period of more than 50 years in the city. She was a member of Evergreen Circle and Neighbors of Woodcraft.
