LENORA M. AVERY, 62, wife of Gerald D. Avery, Sr., of Grover, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1975, at her home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Avery and her husband have owned and operated the Avery general Store, of Grover, for 40 years. The couple marked their 41st wedding anniversary in June. She was a member of Grover Church of Christ. Surviving, besides her husband, are four sons, Burton, of Ralston, Floyd and Alvah, both of Canton RD 1., and Richard, of Canton RD 2; a daughter, Mrs. Eunice McFall, of Canton RD 2; four brothers, Darwin, of Roaring Branch, Roland of Canton RD 1, Donald of Horseheads, NY, and Claude, of Canton; six sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Bond, of Washington, Mrs. William Lee, of Front Royal, VA., Mrs. Evert Letts, of Shunk, Mrs. Archie Norton, of Forksville RD, Mrs. Russell Machmer, of Canton, Mrs. Carl Bedford of Mehoopany, and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Kleese Funeral Home in Canton, with the Rev. Fred Bryans, her pastor, and the Rev. Wilma Barker Hoose, pastor of St. John's United Methodist Church, Grover, officiating. Burial will be in Grover Cemetery.
