He was married to Josephine Milan Abbott on May 6, 1951. They were married for 61 years. They had one son, Dr. Michael Anthony Abbott.
Tom worked as a pharmacist for 50 years in Roanoke. He was District Manager for Peoples Drug Stores, owned Thornton and Creasy Drug Store and Peters Creek Road Pharmacy. He worked for Super X Pharmacy and CVS Pharmacy. He worked for AMI (American Motor Inn) as a consultant.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Milan Abbott; his son and wife, Mike and Carol Abbott; and his three precious grandchildren, Tom, Katie and Kelly Abbott. He is also survived by his dear friends, and was blessed to be with them on his 90th birthday celebration this past June.

Tom was a parishioner and helped plan and develop St. Elias Church on Cove Road. Tom was very proud of his Lebanese heritage, and was a very proud to be an American. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, 4730 Cove Road, Roanoke, VA 24017.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012, at Oakey's South Chapel, 4257 Brambleton Avenue, SW.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, 4730 Cove Road, Roanoke, VA, 24017 on October 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery.
