Bessie Leona Stockton, 90, of Pampa, died Sunday, November 20, 1988.

Mrs. Stockton was born in Elm Store, Ark., She was the former Bessie Leona Young, daughter of Catherine and Lee Young.

She moved to Pampa in 1928 from Wellington. She married Milford Watson (Jack) Stockton in 1918 at Wellington. He died in 1978. She was a Methodist.

A daughter, Francine Duggan, died in 1975.

Survivors include five daughters, Betty Derryberry of Wellington, and Lucille (Tillie) Stephens, Barbara Whitten, Novella Burns and Iris Day, all of Pampa; 20 grandchildren; and 31 greatgrandchildren.

Two nieces living here are Gail Jameson and Lorene Moody. Four brothers who had lived in Wellington were the late Jess Young, Grover Young, Oliver Young and Thomas Young.
