Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Fordham of Pooler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, November 27, 1977.
Hosts for a reception held in their honor were their children and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Eitel and Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Fordham.
Granddaughters Connie Eitel, Kimberly Eitel, Lori Eitel and Marsha Fordham attended, along with many friends and relatives.

Mrs. Bertha Akins Fordham, 87, died
Tuesday at Candler General Hospital after
a long illness.
The Register native lived in Pooler
since 1947 and was a member of Pooler
First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth F.
Eitel of Pooler; a son, Herbert J. Fordham
of Pooler; three sisters, Mrs. Mary
A. Williams, Mrs. Eva A. Waller and
Mrs. Lillian A. Moore, all of Statesboro;
five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. today at Massey Funeral
Home, burial in Forest Lawn Memory
Gardens.
