John L. Stauber, 79, of St. Nazianz, died Monday evening, March 26, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, St. Nazianz and 1:15 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Rev. Cletus LaMere will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Stauber was born Sept. 22, 1904, in the Town of Eaton, son of the late Ignatz and Theresa Glaeser Stauber. He attended St. Gregory School and farmed in the Town of Eaton until his retirement. He married Mary (Mammie) Anhalt on November 16, 1932, at Kiel. Mr. Stauber was a member of St. Nazianz Senior Citizens and St. Gregory Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Eddie Herges of Plymouth and two sisters, Mr. Emma Schweitzer and Mrs. Ana Voss of Kiel. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock this Tuesday evening where a parish prayer service will be at 8 o’clock.
