Mrs. Peterson died at a local hospital Tuesday. She was born in Alexandria, Minn., Oct. 26, 1888, and had lived in Portland 15 years.
Mrs. Peterson, daughter of the late John Abercrombie, a prominent civil engineer in Minnesota, taught school there and in Montana. She also had been choir director and church organist for Immanuel Episcopal Church in Alexandria.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Bakke, Seattle; two sons, John A., Seattle, and James W., Portland; two brothers, James Abercrombie, Stillwater, Minn., and Wallace V. Abercrombie, Alexandria, six grandchildren.
