Charles Bedman Abercrombie passed away very suddenly at Alexandria July 17, 1938 at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 18 days.
He was born in Newark, N. J., August 29, 1875. Charles was a son of the late John Abercrombie, county engineer for many years. His parents came here when he was a young boy and he has lived here most of his life. Much of his life he has not been well and death came peacefully while he slept. He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Epworth League.
Surviving are two brothers and one sister, Wallace of Alexandria, James, city engineer of Stillwater, Deletia (Mrs. C. Alvin Peterson) of Alexandria.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 19 at 3 o'clock from the Anderson Funeral Home; Rev. E. W. Munson officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead cemetery. The pallbearers were Andrew McKay, Fred Oppel, Jack Eiden, Julian Fitzgerald, Melvin Johnson and Wm. McKay.
