Marand married Alice Medorah Shadle (1861-1932) on 21 Dec 1882 at Mt. Pleasant Mills, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. Marand was a medical doctor like his father, Roswell Rothrock and grandfather Isaac Rothrock. Marand and Alice were the parents of two known children, namely:

2. Margaret Catherine Rothrock Swank (1886-1972)
