David Roswell (some records show Rosswell) Rothrock Sr. was the youngest of five known children of Dr. Roswell R. Rothrock (1831-1897) and Catherine Mohney Rothrock (1835-1916), who married 04 Aug 1853 at New Bethlehem, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
David married first to Ella Walter (1862-1916) on 16 Jun 1885 at Centerville, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. David and Ella were the parents of two known children, namely:
1. Walter Roswell Rothrock (1887-1944)
2. Helen Katherine Rothrock Miles Williamson (1895-1980)
After Ella died David remarried to Mrs. Zella Watts Stadler Rothrock (1891-1934) in 1918 in presumably Pennsylvania. David and Zella were the parents of one known child, namely:
3. David Roswell Rothrock Jr. (1920-1961)
David Sr. was a physician practicing for 44 years in Union, Snyder and Northumberland Counties, Pennsylvania
