Robert Amos Morehouse was the son of Amos Morehouse and Sarah Early Connelly Morehouse. He married Florinda Bell Jackson on March 13, 1901, in Tippecanoe County, IN.

MULBERRY - Robert A. Morehouse, 90, died at 2:15 AM Tuesday [Dec. 24, 1968] in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since Nov. 29. Born in Tippecanoe County, northwest of Lafayette, he had lived near Mulberry since 1945. In 1901, he was married to Florinda B. Jackson, who died in 1967. Mr. Morehouse, a retired farmer, was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church, Mulberry Chapter 459 of Order of the Eastern Star, and Mulberry Lodge 618 F&AM.

Surviving are three sons, Edward Morehouse of Rt. 1, Darlington, Wilferd A. Morehouse of Rt. 7, Frankfort, and Robert A. Morehouse of Detroit, MI; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Smith of Earl Park, Mrs. Marjorie Shiers and Mrs. Lorrena Smith, both of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Hanna of Indianapolis and Mrs. Ava Heck of Bloomington, IN; a brother, Ben Morehouse of Post Falls, ID; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
