William H. Bredberg, known to his family by his middle name of "Haven" was born near Stockwell, Indiana. His mother died shortly after his birth. He was raised by his father and stepmother and never knew his birth mother. As an adult he married and moved west. His family can remember him and his wife, Eva, visiting Indiana approximately 1945. Jean (the widow of his nephew Bill Sutton) tried to visit Haven and Eva in 1968 but, due to a miscommunication, they weren't home when Jean arrived! Haven, Eva, and Jean always regretted the opportunity to renew their acquaintance.
