Graveside services for Howard Leslie "Catskinner" Rogers, 67, 601 W. Cedar St., Loving, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Lookout Cemetery in Malaga. Forrest Kirkes of the Loving Church of Christ will officiate.
He died Friday in Guadalupe Medical Center.
West Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Serving as pallbearers will be Rex Kirkes, Gary Kirkes, LeRoy Payne, Steven Morgan, Raul Rodriguez and Edgel Bunch.
A retired farmer, he farmed in the Malaga area since 1929 until his retirement 12 years ago. He was born in Bonham, Texas and moved to Loving in 1929. He was a member of the Loving Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Neva, Loving; two sons, Emery D., Carlsbad, and Lesley Wayne, Riverside, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Kennedy, Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Helen Kirkes, Carlsbad; and 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
