Services for Vinion H. Welch, 79, of 3624 State St., Bettendorf, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the church's building fund.
Mr. Welch died today at Mercy Hospital.
He retired in 1965 as a machine operator at the Rock Island Mill Works.
Mr. Welch married Celestine Lutz in 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa.
He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, sisters, Margaret Fowler and Norma Welch, both of Bettendorf, and Violet Endreshak, Davenport; and a brother, Sam, Great Falls, Mont.
