William Drury, a former resident of Gridley, was found dead in his bed at Ashley, Mich., Friday , October 8. Mr. Drury left Gridley last March and was interested in stock buying in this Michigan city.
Mr. Drury was born in Peoria, Sept. 15, 1850 [sic], a son of William and Susan Truitt Drury and was married to Leota Smith of Washington, Ill. Mr. Drury was in business in Flanagan and Gridley for a number of years. He was a member of the First Christian church of Lexington.
Surviving him are three children, Eleanor, Katherine, and F. LaVerne; three grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Hattie Flesher, Mrs. W. S. (Cora) Kent and Levi Drury of Gridley, Mrs. S. S. (Lillian) Brown of Noxon, Mont., John Drury of Fullerton, Neb., Charles Drury of El Paso, Ed Drury of Highmore, N.D., Elwood Drury of Watseka, and Almon Drury, of Normal.
