GEORGA FERN (CLIFTON) HEGGIE, a resident of the Diamond Willow Lodge in Magrath, AB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2011.
Georga was the last living child of George & Ethel Clifton. She was predeceased by her husband, Dean Fawns Heggie in 2006.
Her passing is mourned by their 8 daughters; Lauretta (Rowland) Boisselle of Kelowna, BC, Barbara (Max) Salmon of Lethbridge, Verla (Monte) Flexhaug of Coaldale, Myrna (Brian) Worthington of Crossfield, Beverly (Gary) Mertz of Jaffrey, BC, Valery (Gordon) Neilson of Delburne, Charlene (Jim) Randall of Delburne, and Janet (Larry) Baran of Vulcan. 32 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Georga spent all her married life in Raymond, AB where she raised her family and became a great cook, seamstress and member of the community. Georga worked 28 1/2 years at the Raymond Home sharing her friendship, talents and abilities with the staff and residents. She loved gardening and enjoyed her association with the Raymond Agricultural Society. Georga had many friends and in her later years enjoyed the support of the Raymond widows and seniors clubs.
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, RAYMOND STAKE CENTER, with Bishop Brian Freeze officiating. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, AB.
