Phillip Aaron Aldrich, of Niles, Michigan, passed away October 10, 2012 in Hospice House, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana, to the late Frank and Blanche Aldrich. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Hilda Blubaugh, Elsie Young, Sybil Titus, Phyllis Trapp, and one brother Dick Aldrich.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jo-Ann, sons, Greg (Pat) Aldrich and Gary Aldrich, both of San, Diego, CA., four grandchildren, two brother-in-laws, A.M. Titus and Al Nucci, sister-in-law, Dr. Marianne Prout, and many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Frankfort High School, he enlisted in the Navy in 1950. He served on an aircraft carrier during the Korean War. After being discharged he worked at the Bendix Missile plant for 18 years, and Bowlers Country Club for 27 years. In 1998 he graduated with a B.S. from IUSB. Phillip enjoyed traveling, playing golf, eating, and volunteering for Notre Dame Women's basketball team. He was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge F&AM #45, Scottish Rite, and the Shriners. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 till 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. Grave side services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16th, at Bethel Cemetery, Lebanon, IN.
