Father Aaron Arce, O.P. died peacefully on October 9, 2012, in St. Louis, Missouri, after a long battle with cancer.

He was 68 years of age.

Evening Prayer and Vigil for Fr. Arce will be held at seven o'clock in the evening on Monday, October 15, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3617 Milam Street, Houston, Texas.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, October 16th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Interment will be held at the Dominican Cemetery, Rosaryville, Louisiana.
Fr. Arce was born in Kingsville, Texas on May 12, 1944, and went to his eternal rest on October 9, 2012, in St. Louis, MO.

He is predeceased in death by his parents, Hilario and Maria De La Rosa Arce, and his brother, Arnoldo.

He is survived by three brothers, Alonzo, Armand, and Arturo Arce.

Fr. Aaron entered the Dominican Order in 1976 joining the St. Albert the Great Central Province.

He was ordained to the priesthood on November 1, 1980. He joined the St. Martin de Porres Southern Province when it was formed in 1979.

Throughout most of his ministerial career, he served on college campuses, serving at Aquinas Newman Center (Albuquerque, N.M.), Catholic Newman Association at the University of Houston, Barry University (Miami, FL), and Holy Name College (Oakland, CA).

He also served as Prior of several of the priories and as Assistant Student Master and Director of Pre-Novitiate.

In addition, he served as Chaplain at hospitals.

His last ministry was at St. Andrew Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO.
