Near Garrison, Thursday, September 6, 1917, Mrs. Martha C. Nance, aged 85 years, 8 months and 24 days. Funeral services was held at Garrison on Friday September 7, conducted by Elder Gass in the presence of her sorrowing husband, some of her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and many sorrowing friends followed with interment in the Garrison cemetery. Martha C. Inman was born December 12, 1832 in Giles county, Tenn. and moved to Missouri in the fall of 1852 and was married to O. T. Nance in the year 1853. To this union 10 children were born. She lacked only six days of being married 66 years at the time of her death. She professed faith in Christ when about 15 years old and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church.
