Levi was one of the 9 Prineville hotshot smokejumpers that was killed in the firestorm on Storm King Mountain on July 6,1994. all together there were 14 fatalities during that fire, most of them were the 9 from Prineville, Oregon, that got caught on a fireline, after loosing radio communication with the ground, and realizing their situation tried to escape by running to another ridge before the fire overwhelmed them, they were not sucsessful.
