Born in Maloney Mountain, PA, on March 12, 1923, she was a cartographer with Patton Maps in Doylestown, retiring at the age of 78, when the company closed. Grace was a wonderful artist and spent many years teaching art to children and adults. It was important to her that everyone learn art. Her four children were brought up with art and music to become artists and musicians. She maintained her Catholic heritage and Democratic political views all her life. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Cooley R. Joyner, who died in 2003; her daughter, Kelly; her son, Kevin; her brothers: Arthur, Richard, and Jack Maloney; and her sister, Elizabeth.
Surviving are her son, Sean J. Joyner and wife, Julie Valerio of Metuchen; daughter, Stephanie Joyner and partner, Susan Paddock of Netcong, NJ; four grandchildren: Miles, Christian, Danielle, and Sean; three great-grandchildren: Eva, Kevin, and Nola; and brother, Gerald Maloney of Kitty Hawk, NC.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 1, 2012, from Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ, at 9:45 a.m.
Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:15 a.m. at St. Francis Cathedral. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Abington, PA.
