"MARVVILLE, Mo. -- Susie Pearl (Langley) Throckmorton, 88, Maryville, died Sunday, March 24, 1996, at her home after a long illness.

Mrs. Throckmorton was a homemaker and had also worked as a nurse's aide at St Francis Hospital in Maryville for many years. She was born Nov. 2, 1907, in Guilford, Mo., and attended Guilford schools. She had lived in Maryville since 1971. Mrs. Throckmorton was a member of the Christian Church.

On March 30, 1929, she married Charles E. Throckmorton. He died in 1986. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Calvin; a brother, Roy Langley; a sister, May Skidmore; and a grandchild.

Surviving are two daughters, Ermal Joslin of Maryville and Donna Pearl Black of St Joseph; a son, Donald E. Throckmorton of Savannah; two sisters, Stella Pasch of Maryville and Ruby Davis of Ravenwood, Mo.; a brother, Ray Langley of St Joseph; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
