There are multiple residents of Pelham who were named Matthew Gray - Sr, Jr, and the 3rd at the very least. There is another born of Jacob and Jenet.

One was married in 1788:
Matthew, Dea., and Jemima McCreeles, int. Feb. 2, 1788

another was born:
Matthew, s. Jacob and Jennet, Aug. 1, 1791.

I was able to locate the death date of only one of the Matthew Grays:

Matthew, Dea., Mar. 24, 1803.

A stone for a Deacon Matthew Gray is in front of this stone and may be for the same Matthew Gray but may not be.

One of the original Deacons was an Ebenezer Gray.

The Grays were prominent in the area. John Gray, ruling elder, died in 1782, aged 82, his wife in 1799 at 92. Nathaniel Gray, in 1777 at 32, Dea. Ebenezer Gray...was laid to rest in 1834 when 90 years old.
