Surviving were his son, Lester Dale Edwards and wife Beverly; daughter, Carol Armstrong and husband John H.; brother, Ruben Edwards and wife Dona; sister, Ruby Tripp; sister-in-law, June Norfleet; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Noland, Janet Noland, Anne Jessup, John H. Armstrong III, Carmen Williamson, and Jill Conyers; and eight great grandchildren, Henry Paul and Margaret Noland, Hannah and Harvey Jessup, China and Rowan Armstrong and Emmy and Grace Conyers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lola; three brothers, Lawrence, Ray and Warren Edwards; and six sisters, Zella Jones, Della Onken, Faye Furr, Elsie Brehmer, Hazel Edwards and Roxy Hall. He was a retired farmer and attended Shelby Christian Church in Shelbyville.
