Armstrong III, Carmen Williamson, and Jill Conyers; and eight great grandchildren, Henry Paul and Margaret Noland, Hannah and Harvey Jessup, China and Rowan Armstrong and Emmy and Grace Conyers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lola; three brothers, Lawrence, Ray and Warren Edwards; and six sisters, Zella Jones, Della Onken, Faye Furr, Elsie Brehmer, Hazel Edwards and Roxy Hall. He was a retired farmer and attended Shelby Christian Church in Shelbyville.
