She was born on April 27, 1940, in Madison, the daughter of Paul R. and Alexia (Bolzt) Nesson. She grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison West High School. Nancy was a manager at Manhattan Cookies on State Street and then worked for UW Housing for 11 years. She was united in marriage to Terry Gasdorf on June 24, 1967, at Midvale Lutheran Church in Madison. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Terry; her two daughters, Wendy (Paul) Mather and Georgianna (Gary) Halverson; nine grandchildren, Patrick and Ryan Mather, Arianna Fjelstad, Anya Halverson, Dustin (Jessie Dohman) Williams and Michael, Brandon, Tiffany and Brooke Ballweg; one great-granddaughter, Raeven Williams; and brother, Paul Nesson Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Holly Ann Gasdorf and daughter, Sheri Lynn Gasdorf Ballweg and her parents-in-law Jack Gasdorf and Verna Mae Topper Gasdorf
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Additional: On March 29, 2010 , Sheri Lynn Gasdorf Ballweg died unexpectedly at home in Madison, Wisconsin. She was 47 (b. Dec. 31, 1962 in Madison, WI). She left behind five children: Dustin D. Williams, and Michael L., Brandon L., Tiffany A. and Brooke L. Ballweg, and one granddaughter Raeven Mae Williams. Sheri was cremated. Her ashes are with her parents Terry L. and Nancy E. (Nesson) Gasdorf in Madison. She was a creative person who enjoyed arts and crafts and homemaking, a woman who loved her children and granddaughter. Sheri will be remembered and missed.
