Ruth Cannon Leaver Otterstrom Eternally Ours One of Heavenly Father's faithful daughters slipped peacefully back to His presence and to the arms of her sweetheart as loved ones surrounded her, 29 February 2004. Ruth Cannon Leaver Otterstrom was born 8 July 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas O. Leaver and Mary C. Cannon. Ruth married her eternal companion, Charles (Chic) Otterstrom, 20 June 1936 in Salt Lake City and to this union were born, F. Thomas (SanDee O. Price) Otterstrom, Christine (Bruce) Jensen, Susan (Dennis) Williams, Marilyn (Gary) Killpack. Her grandchildren are: Rick, Tom, Ron, Robert Otterstrom, Dan, Heidi, Heather (Gibb), Amy, Julie (Medeiros), Ryan, Megan, Jeff Jensen, Scott, Jason, Wendy (Montgomery), Jaimee (Seay), Ben Williams, Jen (Zion), Becky, Paul Killpack. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren and her sister, Patricia Leaver Thiriot. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Tom, her parents, her brother and two grandsons. Ruth was an active member of the LDS Church and shared her testimony through her music as pianist and organist for over 60 years. She will always be remembered for her lifelong service to her family and her example of enduring faith. She is dearly loved by many. Thanks to all of Ruth's friends and neighbors for their love and support, as well as those who served her at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield and Odyssey (formerly UT Heritage) Hospice. A viewing will be held Friday, March 5th, 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 at Kaysville 13th Ward, 875 E. 200 N. with a viewing from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com
