CHARLES CHURCHILL DEAD
Brother of a Randolph Woman Expired on Tuesday
Charles Churchill, a lifelong resident of the Town of Ellington and a former Justice of the Peace died at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, aged 69 years, after an illness of nine days following a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Churchill was a farmer all his life. He lived in his last home for 31 years. Mr. Churchill served in the Civil War as a member of the Second Company of the First Battalion of New York Volunteer Sharpshooters. He was a member of Fancher Post G.A.R. of Leon. In politics Mr. Churchill was a Republican and served as Justice of the Peace for twelve years up to four years ago when he left office.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary B. White, a son, Elton Churchill, brothers, Albro Churchill, Lester E. Churchill of Ellington; and Willis Churchill of Wellington, Colo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Thatcher of Ellington, Mrs. Daphne Heald of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Alice Bates of Randolph.
The funeral will be conducted from the home at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon.
