Blanchardville --- Mrs. Mary Catherine Coffey, 83, of Blanchardville died yesterday morning (Jan 15, 1950) at 4:30 in her home. She had been ailing the past year.

The former Mary Catherine Jaegers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jaegers, was born Sept 9, 1866, in the town of Fayette. On April 6, 1885, she was married at Mineral Point to John Patrick Coffey by Rev. Weinhart. Her entire life was spent in this vicinity. She was a member of Immaculate Conception church and the Altar Sodality society.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. John Kelly of Blanchardville, Mrs. Ray McCarville of Lancaster, and Misses Genevieve, Monica and Elizabeth at home; one half-brother, Stephen S. Jaegers of Cincinnati and 17 grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband; a son, Leo, two daughters, Mrs. P.J. Gavigan and one in infancy.

Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the home and 10 am at Immaculate Conception church. Reverends Paul Dwyer of Blanchardville, Hoffman of Lancaster and Henry of Tennyson will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Saether funeral home has charge of the arrangements.

Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers. They are Bernard J. Kelly of Mineral Point, Phillip G. Gavigan of Racine, Richard N. Gavigan of Dubuque, Joseph J. and Thomas L. McCarville of Lancaster and Grant Norton of Hollandale.
