Mrs. Rebecca J. Dement, wife of William P. Dement, aged 54 years, died at her home in Vevay at seven o'clock this morning, after a lingering illness. Deceased is the sister of Mrs. Sarah McCoy, Mrs. Mary C. Loyd, and Messrs. Salathiel, A. J. and John W. Grayson, of this city, and formerly resided here. She leaves a husband and four daughters, all about grown, one of whom is married. The husband has lost a loving wife and the children a kind mother. The family has our sincere sympathy in their sad bereavement. The remains will arrive here on the Vevay packet at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning, and will be taken from the boat to Springdale Cemetery for interment.
