Ernest Paul Chaput of Corvallis died Wednesday, July 20 at Good Samaritan hospital. He was 54.
He was born in Concordia, Kan. to Glenn and Hazel (Owen) Chaput and moved with his parents to Corvallis in 1949. He graduated from Corvallis High School, Class of ’64. He was employed with Open Door, where he assisted others in reading and writing skills.
Ernest is survived by his parents; Glen and Hazel Chaput of Corvallis, sister, Anna Jones of Salem; and brother, David L. Chaput of Prineville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug 1 at the Chapel of McHenry Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Twin Oakes Memorial Gardens.
