Mary K. Amey, 93, formerly of HCR 63 of Richfield, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Brookline Manor, RR1 Mifflintown.

Born Oct. 4, 1907, in West Perry Township, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the later Samuel and Grace (Shirk) Leitzel. Her husband, Steril E. Amey, died on June 20, 1995.

She is survived by: a daughter, Twila Baker of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Geraldine Arbogast of Mount Pleasant Mills; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: brothers, Shirk, Robert, Ernest and Nobel; sisters, Olive Hornberger, Agnes Fisher and Ethel Earnest.

She was a former employee of Shellenberger Shirt Factory, Richfield. She was a member of Richfield Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed reading and gardening.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Richfield Mennonite Church with Pastor Jerry R. O'Connell officiating. Interment will be in Richfield Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 7-9 p.m. Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund of Richfield Mennonite Church, RR1 Box 11, Richfield, PA 17086.

The George P. Garman Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant Mills is in charge of arrangements.
