Mrs. Abigail Linehan died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Doyle at Kellogg, Minne., on Thursday evening, Sept. 9 at 6:40 o'clock, after an illness of three days. Death was due to heart failure.
The remains were taken to Minneapolis accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Doyle and Edward F. Linehan. The funeral was held Monday morning with services at St. Anthony of Padua church, Minneapolis, and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery there.
Mrs. Linehan's maiden name was Abigail Fitzgerald. She was born in County Cork, Ireland, 74 years ago, and emigrated to America in 1859. Her marriage to Cornelius Linehan took place in New York City April 23, 1869. The resided in New York until 1873, when they came to Minnesota and located at St. Anthony Village.
Mr. Linehan died Jan. 10, 1911, and a son, Stephen, died May 22, 1920. Michael and Abigail died in infancy.
The surviving sons and daughters are Mrs. Wm. Doyle, Kellogg; John J. Linehan, St. Paul; Mrs. L. J. Brett and Edw. F. Linehan, Minneapolis.
