He is survived by Nancy, his devoted and loving wife of 49 years and daughters Susanne and Stacilyn. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Eloise and Walter Adams, Hilda and Mack Adams, Joyce and Chester Adams, Geraldine Gardner and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Garlan proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, primarily stationed in Germany. he retired from Entex Gas Company after 38 years.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home with a reception immediately following in the hospitality room.
Garlan & Nancy were married Sept. 16, 1961 in Houston, Harris Co., Texas. For many many years, Garlan would dress up as Santa Claus at the Bridges Family Christmas party held in Lovelady, Texas.
