Jacob Bernhardt
ABILENE — Jacob Bernhardt, 86, Abilene, died Tuesday at the Abilene Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1897, at Golga, Russia, and came to the Lincolnville/Tampa area in 1900. Most of his life was spent farming in the Elmo community. He retired and moved to Abilene in 1972.
He is survived by his wife Mollie, of the home; two sons, Walter and Floyd, both of Salina; two daughters, Delores Ruhter, Salina, and Mary Marlatt, Abilene; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Danner Funeral Home, Abilene, the Rev. Ray Stites officiating. Burial will be in the Abilene Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
