"Dolores O. Wright, beloved sister, aunt, mother and grandmother passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 in North Richland Hills.

"Memorial Service: First Baptist Church, Coleman, Texas, October 13 at 1:00 p.m..

"Dolores Laws was born in Glen Cove, Texas on August 31, 1926 to Randolph Hearst and Ola Strange Laws. She grew up and attended school in Coleman. She married John Wright and moved to Bloomfield, New Mexico in 1953. Dolores returned to college as an adult and earned her teaching certification. She taught language arts at the middle and high school level. She was loved by her students and maintained a close-knit group of teachers she socialized with often. Dolores was an avid reader and loved to travel.

"In 2008 she lost her beloved son, Jim to a heart attack. Around this same time she had back surgery that left her in chronic pain and unable to maintain the active lifestyle she loved. In May 2010 she moved to North Richland Hills to be near family. Although her activities were limited, she made friends at the Wellington in North Richland Hills and passed many hours giggling with her niece and sister.

"Dolores was preceded in death by her mother Nola Strange Trewitt, son James Wright, cousin Lorena Payne

"Survivors: Sister, Maudine Laws Goodman and husband Don; niece Carole Kimbrough and fiancé Courtney Carroll; nephews The Rev. Doctor Steve Sellers and wife Dixie, Paul Sellers; Cousins, Jody Payne and wife Lori, Gary Payne and wife Carolyn; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

"Dolores' family would also like to extend our heart-felt thanks to Tobi Jackson, Arlene and Able Baldazo, the staffs of American Senior Home Health and Advanced Hospice for making her last weeks as comfortable as possible.
