Ola Strange was the daughter of James Albert Strange and Alice Myrtle Stevens. Her paternal grandparents were Rufus Harvey Strange (1841-1913) and Mary Jane (Gray) Strange (1838-1904). Her material grandparents were F. P. and Nancy Stevens.

Ola married first Randolph Hearst Laws, 5 August 1925. They had one daughter, Dolores Oneta Laws, who married John Wright.

Ola married second Thomas G. Trewitt, December 1951.
