COOPERSTOWN — Mrs. Hazel M. Lincourt, 85, of Cooperstown, died early Monday morning, July 17, 2000, at The Meadows.


Hazel was born on March 9, 1915, in Toddsville, a daughter of George and Stella May (Seybolt) Buchanan.


She married Leo G. Lincourt in 1930, in Cooperstown. Mr. Lincourt died on Sept. 24, 1989.


She is survived by one daughter and two sons-in-law, Mary and Orrin (Lou) Mele of Cooperstown and Squire Taylor Jr. of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; two sons, Robert Lincourt of Hobart and Gene Lincourt of Cooperstown; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one great-great-grandson.


She was predeceased by her daughter, Mrs. Louella Taylor, who died in February 2000, and two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Helen Lincourt, who died in August 1996, and Mrs. Lucille A. Lincourt, who died in October 1997.


Graveside services and burial will be private in the Fly Creek Valley Cemetery, with the Rev. Douglas C. Smith, rector of Christ Church in Cooperstown, officiating.


At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.


In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial gifts may be made to The Activities Fund, care of The Meadows, 140 County Highway 33W, Cooperstown, N.Y. 13326.


Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown.
